NWF State College Holiday Closure, Web and Box Office Services

All seven area locations of Northwest Florida State College will close for in-person services December 18 through January 2, 2011. Students may enroll, pay fees and buy text books through the college website over the holiday break at The college's campuses and centers will re-open on Monday, January 3 at 8:00 am for all college services and Spring term registration. Spring classes begin Wednesday, January 5 at NWF State College sites in Niceville, Fort Walton, Crestview, DeFuniak, South Walton, Eglin AFB and Hurlburt Field. Also on January 5, the college will hold a grand opening ceremony for the new Community Services Complex on the Niceville campus at 3:30 p.m. followed by a public open house of the new Raider Arena and Okaloosa County 911 Emergency Operations Center and free admission to college basketball games which begin at 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. in the 2,200 seat arena.

The in-person and phone Box Office of the Mattie Kelly Fine & Performing Arts Center at Northwest Florida State College is also closed from December 18 to January 2, but the center's online box office will be open over the entire holiday break. Those who purchase tickets online through the center's website at during the holidays will be sent tickets following the new year or may elect to have tickets held in will call. Online ticket sales are available for the national touring Broadway production of the smash hit comedy "Legally Blonde", appearing January 5 at the center, tickets are $50 each. Also available are tickets for "The Color Purple" - a musical based on the Pulitzer Prize winning novel and the moving film by Stephen Spielberg - appearing January 16 for 2:00 pm and 7:30 pm shows, tickets are $50 each; "All Shook Up", a laugh-out-loud comedy featuring 24 Elvis hits, tickets are $35 each; the internationally renowned "Dance Theatre of Harlem Ensemble" on February 7, tickets are $35 each adults and $25 for youth and college students; a stellar European opera company performing the Puccini masterpiece "Turandot" on February 19, tickets are $45 each; and an Irish national company performing Celtic dance and music in "Rhythm of the Dance" on March 11, tickets are $35 each. There is a $5 per ticket discount for all shows for groups of 10 or more tickets purchased together. The group discount is only available for in-person or phone sales, not via the web.
