12/13/2011 - The Northwest Florida Symphony Chorale will hold individual auditions for new singers during the first week of January for the 2012 concert season. Tenors and basses are especially encouraged to audition. The Chorale, a new vocal ensemble under the direction of Northwest Florida State College music professor Lois Van Dam, rehearses on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. in Tyler Recital Hall of the Mattie Kelly Arts Center on Northwest Florida State College's Niceville campus. Spring semester rehearsals begin January 10. The ensemble's repertoire for the spring includes Missa Choralis by Franz Liszt and Te Deum by Johann Hummel. The Chorale will perform with the Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra as well as in an independent concert. Contact Ms. Van Dam at or at 729-6009 to arrange an audition time or for further information.
