Mattie Kelly Arts Center

1/19/2012 - From headlining in Las Vegas, Steve Lippia and his 16 piece band bring Frank Sinatra's essence to Niceville in Simply Sinatra, starring Steve Lippia, appearing February 4 at 7:30 p.m. at the Mattie Kelly Arts Center at Northwest Florida State College. Simply Sinatra is part of the center's season of nationally touring Broadway and Artist shows.

Steve Lippia's energetic talent and powerful show create a perfect blend of classic and current and the Simply Sinatra concert showcases a musical arrangement by Frank Sinatra's own arranger. Lippia's goal is not to be a Frank Sinatra impersonator or impressionist; he is a talented singer gifted with the ability to croon just like "Ol' Blue Eyes" himself! Lippia has headlined in highly successful, extended engagements in Las Vegas and Atlantic City, where audiences lined up more than two hours before show time to vie for seating. He has also recently performed to sold-out audiences with major symphonies across North America, including the Rochester Philharmonic, Palm Beach Pops, and Ocean City Pops.

The Simply Sinatra show includes favorite Sinatra hits such as "Lady is a Tramp," "Summer Wind," and "I've Got the World on a String," and more. Tickets are available by phone, web or in-person from the Box Office for $30 each. A group discount of $5 off per ticket is available for groups of 10 or more. The Box Office is open Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and starting at 6:00 p.m. the night of the show. Call (850) 729-6000 or purchase online at See the website for show photos and video.

All 1,650 seats in the main theater at the Mattie Kelly Arts Center are no more than 90 feet from the stage - making every seat "the best seat in the house" at the performance venue which is located on the eastern edge of the college's Niceville campus at 100 College Boulevard. The center is just minutes from Interstate 10 or the mid-Bay Bridge, and is easily accessible to patrons from surrounding communities.
