July 17 to 31 Season Package Exclusive - Signature Seat Holders
August 1 to 17 Season Package Exclusive – General Public
August 20 to Show Date - Individual & Season Tickets to All Shows

A stellar season of 12 blockbuster hits, from "Fiddler on the Roof" to "Shrek The Musical," "Hair" and the National Circus of China, is scheduled to appear in 2012-13 at the Mattie Kelly Arts Center at Northwest Florida State College in Niceville. The lineup of a dozen national and internationally touring shows is a record for the $25 million performing arts venue.

Best yet, the college's governing board approved ticket prices at the same level as the last six years – with no price increase (Broadway Series $45 each, Artist Series $35 each). There's even an option for patrons to build a custom season package and receive a discount on tickets, a popular concept introduced last season. The trustee board approved items related to the arts season at their May 16 business meeting.

The Broadway and Artist series of shows scheduled in 2012 includes: Menopause The Musical® on September 26; the new live-concert experience BROADWAY ROX on October 11; the international touring sensation DRUMLine Live on November 7; a hit for the whole family - Shrek The Musical, on November 19; Nunset Boulevard on November 29 starring Cindy Williams of "Laverne & Shirley" TV fame as Mother Superior; the Tony Award® winning musical Fiddler On The Roof on December 3; and direct from Beijing, the National Circus of the People's Republic of China, performing "Cirque Chinois" on December 12.

The Mattie Kelly Arts Center season continues in 2013 on January 12 with New York Tenors showcasing of some of the world's greatest vocalists; the groundbreaking musical HAIR on January 30 with some of the most rousing and soulful songs ever written for the stage; In the Mood on February 2 featuring a retro 1940's musical with the sensational String of Pearls Big Band Orchestra, vocalists and dancers; an innovative and exciting concert production showcasing Ireland's leading female performers in "Women of Ireland" on February 15; and the smash-hit musical comedy ROCK OF AGES on April 1 to round out the season with a rock-n-roll love story told through the mind-blowing hits of Journey, Styx, REO Speedwagon, Twisted Sister, and Poison.

Due to the jam-packed season of Broadway and Artist hits - the Mattie Kelly Arts Center will start season package sales about a month earlier than normal – with packages available to Signature Seat patrons from July 17 to 31 and to the general public from August 1 to 17. During the season package priority window, only custom packages will be sold and patrons will receive a 10 percent discount for purchasing five or more shows. Individual tickets to all national shows will be available starting August 20 through the show date, subject to availability. Group discounts for groups of 10 or more are available. (July 17 to 31 Season Package Exclusive - Signature Seat Patrons; August 1 to 17 Season Package Exclusive – General Public; August 20 to Show Date - Individual & Season Tickets to All Shows).

In date order, the 2012-13 Mattie Kelly Arts Center Season includes:

September 26 - Menopause The Musical®, a hilarious musical parody set to classic tunes from the '60s, '70s and '80s that will have audiences cheering and dancing in the aisles! "It's the Hilarious Celebration of Women and The Change!®" according to the national tour's billing -- a certified mega-hit with four women at a lingerie sale with nothing in common but a black lace bra AND memory loss, hot flashes, night sweats, not enough sex, too much sex and more! Tickets are $45 each.

October 11 - BROADWAY ROX is a new live concert experience that celebrates the contemporary musicals of Broadway from the pop and rock genres, bridging the gap between traditional Broadway musicals and a full-blown Rock Show. The visually amazing production is comprised the hottest performers on Broadway along with a live band. Those familiar with GLEE and SMASH will love the awesome mash-ups of their favorite Broadway songs as Rox celebrates youth, energy, humor, and great music. Tickets are $35 each.

November 7 - DRUMLine Live is an international tour based on the Historically Black College and University marching band tradition. With riveting rhythms, bold beats and ear-grabbing energy, the staged show will be a synchronized musical showcase of the HBCU experience. Incorporating original compositions and soul-infused interpretations of top 40 hits, group performances will range from colorful, choreographed routines to heavy doses of drum riffs and cadences. Tickets are $35 each.

November 19 - Shrek The Musical, based on the Oscar®-winning DreamWorks film that started it all, brings the hilarious story of everyone's favorite ogre to life on stage.? The national touring production of the hit Broadway musical visits a faraway kingdom turned upside down, where things get ugly when an unseemly ogre – not a handsome prince – shows up to rescue a feisty princess. Throw in a donkey who won't shut up, a villain with a SHORT temper, a cookie with an attitude and over a dozen other fairy tale misfits, and you've got the kind of mess that calls for a real hero. SHREK THE MUSICAL is part romance, part twisted fairy tale and all irreverent fun for everyone! Tickets are $45 each.

November 29 - Nunset Boulevard - The Little Sisters of Hoboken are off on their newest "Nunsense" adventure, this time heading to Tinseltown. They are thrilled at the prospect of performing at the Hollywood Bowl until they discover they are booked into the Hollywood Bowl-A-Rama, not the famous "Bowl!" But when they hear that a big-time producer is auditioning people for a new movie musical about the life of Dolores Hart, the famous movie star who became a nun, their spirits soar! Could this be their big break? It would be a sin to miss Cindy Williams, the lovable star of "Laverne & Shirley," as Mother Superior! Tickets are $35 each.

December 3 - Fiddler On The Roof, the Tony Award® winning musical that has captured the hearts of people all over the world with its universal appeal embarks on its North American Tour. FIDDLER ON THE ROOF has been lauded by critics again and again, and won the hearts of people all around the world. Filled with a rousing, heartwarming score, which includes "Tradition," "Matchmaker, Matchmaker," "If I Were A Rich Man" and "Sunrise, Sunset," FIDDLER ON THE ROOF is a timeless classic. No other musical has so magically woven music, dance, poignancy and laughter into such an electrifying and unforgettable experience. Tickets are $45 each.

December 12 - Cirque Chinois - Direct from Beijing, the National Circus of the People's Republic of China, performing "Cirque Chinois," was founded in 1953, making it one of the longest running and most distinguished circus troupes in China. The National Circus of the People's Republic of China is especially acclaimed in China because of the unique acts in their program such as Great Teeterboard, Grand Flying Trapeze, Group Contortion, Straw Hats Juggling, Girls' Balance With Bowls and many other outstanding acts. Tickets are $35 each.

January 12 - New York Tenors - The New York Tenors combine the artistry of three men who alone are superb, but together provide an overwhelming, "can't-miss" showcase of some of the world's greatest vocalists and repertoire. Daniel Rodriguez, "America's Beloved Tenor" is the New York City police officer whose amazing voice comforted a grieving nation in the days following 9-11-2001. Andy Cooney, christened "Irish America's Favorite Son" by the New York Times, is a title he truly deserves. His unique tenor voice has been heard in concert halls internationally, including two sold out performances in New York’s Carnegie Hall. Michael Amante, affectionately known as "The People's Tenor," is a combination of All-American looks, romantic Italian charm and an incredible voice. Tickets are $35 each

January 30 – Hair - Hailed as "Intense, unadulterated joy" (The New York Times), "Transcendent" (USA Today) and "A celebration of life and freedom!" (Daily News), HAIR tells the story of a group of friends choosing to speak up and sing out in celebration of love, life and freedom. The national tour first great rock musical, HAIR has some of the most rousing and soulful songs ever written for the stage, including "Let the Sun Shine In," "Easy to be Hard," "Good Morning Starshine," "Aquarius" and the infectious title song, "Hair." Tickets are $45 each.

February 2 - In the Mood - Much more than a concert, IN THE MOOD presents a retro 1940's musical featuring the IN THE MOOD Singers and Dancers with the sensational String of Pearls Big Band Orchestra. The music and the arrangements are as authentic as it gets. Tickets are $35 each.

February 15 - "Women of Ireland" is an innovative and exciting full-stage concert production which showcases the next generation of Ireland's leading female performers. The show demonstrates the well of extraordinary talent that exists within Ireland's traditions of music, song and dance. The most revered qualities of Ireland's ethnic music are transported from the Irish fireside to the international concert hall with Irish music presented in a mesmerizing contemporary setting. Tickets are $35 each.

April 1 - Rock of Ages: The New Hit Musical Comedy - In 1987 on the Sunset Strip, a small town girl met a big city rocker in LA's most famous rock club and they fell in love to the greatest songs of the 80's. It's five time Tony Award nominated smash-hit musical comedy ROCK OF AGES, a hilarious, feel-good, rock-n-roll love story told through the mind blowing, face-melting hits of Journey, Styx, REO Speedwagon, Twisted Sister, Poison, and many more. Tickets are $45 each.

In addition to Broadway and Artist Series events, the college's trustees approved a slate of Children's Series shows which are presented in matinee performances to school groups. Individual tickets are available to Children's Series shows on a space available basis for $6 each. Shows include "Harry, Dirty Dog" on October 19; "Skippy Jones" on November 5, "Little Engine that Could" on February 11 and "Give a Mouse a Cookie" on April 22.
