Annual Dance Concert Dance Facets - April 12 & 13

Mattie Kelly Arts Center

3/20/2013 - Northwest Florida State College’s Division of Humanities, Fine and Performing Arts presents its annual dance concert Dance Facets 2013 on April 12 and 13 at 7:30 p.m. on the mainstage of the college’s Mattie Kelly Arts Center in Niceville. This year’s presentation will be a feast for the eyes as 38 superbly talented dancers perform fourteen original dance presentations featuring everything from classical and contemporary ballet, to modern, jazz and hip hop styles!

The visual and audible movement on stage will be enhanced by special lighting effects designed by NWFSC students and staff. In Dance Facets, the synergistic effect of dramatic music, ethereal lighting and emotional dance combine in artistic interpretations about social realities as well as fantasies. An eclectic array of musical styles, including Delibes, Matthew West, Amy Grant and original music by former NWFSC student Cameron Daniels will be featured, just to name a few. There will also be a live performance by the NWFSC Soundsations Men’s Ensemble.

Tickets for the evening of dance, music and more are on sale now for $20 adults and $15 for youth ages 18 and younger. Call or click for tickets through the Arts Center box office at 729-6000 or online at www.mattiekellyartscenter.org. In-person tickets sales are available Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and also starting at 6:00 p.m. each night of the performance.
