Stars of Tomorrow: An Evening of Magic by the Sea

February 26 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

$16 – $25

This annual concert features our 2021 John Leatherwood Concerto Competition winners: Walter Gonçalves and Filippo Aldrovandi-Reina.

Walter will be playing the first movement of Haydn’s Piano Concerto in D Major and Filippo will perform the opening movement of Sibelius’ Violin Concerto in D Minor.

The second half of the program celebrates the magic and strength of the sea. From an ethereal new work by British composer, Anna Clyne called Seascape to
Benjamin Brittens’ Storm movement from Peter Grimes: Four Sea interludes, the program concludes with the powerful tone poem La Mer (The Sea) by the famous French composer Claude Debussy.
