The galleries are open Monday-Thursday from 10am-4pm and 90 minutes before most mainstage events. We are closed on holidays. Tours are available by appointment.

The galleries are free and open to the public.

We are located in Building 110 at NWFSC’s Niceville campus. We are part of Mattie Kelly Arts Center; the theater is on the right and the galleries on the left as you face the Seven Dancers water feature in the middle of the open-air court.

Yes, photos and videos are permitted.

At the Mattie Kelly Arts Center Galleries, we are proud to display exhibitions from accomplished regional and national artists. While we don’t rent our galleries to the general public for personal exhibitions, we do offer juried art competitions that give the best-in-show the opportunity to be curated into a solo exhibition. To submit your work, fill out the Call to Artists application.

Additionally, we invite artist and curatorial proposals for solo or group exhibitions in the McIlroy or Holzhauer Galleries, the Hallway Gallery, or all three, on a rolling basis, ones that support the educational mission of NWFSC students, educators, and communities. Currently, parts of our permanent collection are on view. In the Mattie Kelly Arts Center Galleries workroom, visitors may view the Harmuth Mask Collection by appointment, and a portion of the Marie Snow Greene Collection is currently on display in the Susan Myers Learning Research Commons in Building 500. While the rest of our collection is currently in storage, the galleries will occasionally hold a “From the Collection” exhibit. Please refer to our season calendar to find out when the next collection exhibit will be held.
